Welcome to the Caregiver Registry Standards Board!

The Private Care Association is proud to announce the formation of the Caregiver Registry Standards Board_TM (“CRSB”), an independent accrediting body for caregiver registries operating under the consumer-directed model of care.

What is CRSB Accreditation?

The mission of the CRSB is to create and maintain standards for the caregiver registry industry through an accreditation process.  An entity that is awarded accredited is deemed by the CRSB to be operating in accordance with the standards that the CRSB has established.

Who is Eligible for CRSB Accreditation?

CRSB accreditation is designed to establish industry standards for private-sector caregiver registries that screen, refer, and represent independent contractor caregivers.

What are the benefits of CRSB Accreditation?

There are several benefits both to accredited registries and the public of CRSB accreditation.  Some of those benefits include the enhancement of the professionalism of the industry, the allowance for industry benchmarking of operational standards, the creation of credibility and standardization, the creation of transparency for caregiver recruitment, reductions in professional liability premiums, the availability and attainability of a seal of approval for caregiver registries that meet or exceed the CRSB standards, and the communication of the industry’s commitment to the highest standards of professionalism.

What does CRSB Accreditation measure?

First and foremost, the accreditation program is designed to ensure an independent, objective review of the services provided by the caregiver registry.  Those services are compared against established industry standards to verify appropriate administrative credentialing, independent contractor screening/credentialing, complaint and information management, and documentation.

·        Increase consistency in the manner, method, and quality of screening and referral services provided by caregiver registries;

·        Commit to industry standards that are evidence-based and are central to the screening and referral services provided by caregiver registries;

·        Demonstrate that the screening and referral services provided by caregiver registries establish a critical “gold standard” for clients who pursue the consumer-directed model of care; and
